EF Classification Upgrade Request

Complete this form if your project scope has expanded beyond the capabilities of your originally contracted EF classification. Upgrade requests require a minimum of 14 business days lead time before the scheduled deployment date. Requests submitted within 14 business days will not be processed in time. This is not an exception we make.

EF SCALE REFERENCE: EF-0 (65–85 mph) · EF-1 (86–110 mph) · EF-2 (111–135 mph) · EF-3 (136–165 mph) · EF-4/5 not available through standard intake. Do not ask.

Section 3 — Updated Site Requirements

Higher EF classifications require expanded exclusion zones and updated safety documentation. Confirm each item has been addressed.

I have submitted a revised site plan to my McNadoes account representative reflecting the upgraded deployment parameters. I have updated the exclusion zone to meet the requirements for my requested classification. (EF-1: 300 ft · EF-2: 500 ft · EF-3: 750 ft or as specified) I have re-issued adjacent property notifications reflecting the updated EF classification and revised exclusion zone. I have confirmed updated utility clearances with the relevant authorities for the upgraded wind speed parameters.

Section 4 — Rate Adjustment Acknowledgment

EF classification upgrades are subject to a rate adjustment reflecting the increased operational complexity, atmospheric modeling requirements, and liability exposure associated with higher wind speed deployments. Your McNadoes account representative will provide a revised rate prior to deployment confirmation. You must accept the revised rate before this request can be processed.

Section 5 — Required Declarations

I understand that EF classification upgrades are not guaranteed and remain subject to atmospheric availability and McNadoes operational capacity at the time of deployment. I understand that an EF-3 deployment produces outcomes materially different in scale from an EF-2 deployment, and that I have communicated this to all relevant parties on my team. I confirm that the expanded exclusion zone has been established and will be enforced on the day of deployment, and that I am responsible for enforcing it. I understand that submitting this form does not confirm the upgrade. Confirmation requires approval from McNadoes operations and acceptance of the revised rate. I have not already submitted a duplicate of this form. If I have, I understand that submitting duplicate requests does not accelerate processing and may result in both being deprioritized.
